Common questions

Do I need a background in HR to join CHRL? +
CHRL is designed for professionals already operating at a senior level, and a formal HR title is not strictly required. Senior leaders such as CEOs, COOs, and CFOs who manage human capital decisions are also eligible. All applicants must have at least four years of manager-level experience and complete a 30-minute interview with the Program Manager before registration is confirmed.
What is the interview process before the program starts? +
After submitting your application, you will be invited to a 30-minute conversation with the Program Manager to assess fit and ensure the program aligns with your experience and goals. Registration is only confirmed upon successful completion of this interview and full payment. The process is evaluative, not merely administrative.
How does CHRL differ from a standard HR management certification? +
CHRL targets experienced HR leaders rather than practitioners still building foundational knowledge. The curriculum focuses on enterprise-level strategy, workforce risk, global talent management, and data-informed decision-making rather than HR operations or compliance. It is positioned for professionals ready to operate as strategic partners at the executive level.
How is the program assessed, and what credential do participants receive? +
Assessment is built into the program rather than delivered through a separate written exam. Participants engage with practical tools, case studies, and a dedicated one-on-one coaching and evaluation session with the master trainer on the final day. Successful participants receive the Certified Human Resources Leader designation from iLead.
Which roles are best positioned to benefit from CHRL? +
The program is most relevant for HR Directors, CHROs, Learning and Development Directors, and Strategy Directors who influence workforce decisions at an organizational level. Senior operational leaders — including CEOs and COOs — who want to strengthen their human capital strategy capabilities are also well suited. A minimum of four years at manager level is required regardless of title.
Is there anything participants should do to prepare before attending? +
No mandatory pre-reading is specified, but participants will get the most from CHRL if they arrive with a clear understanding of their organization's current talent challenges and strategic priorities. The program is applied in nature, and real workplace context directly enriches the case work and the one-on-one session with the master trainer on the final day.
