Common questions

Do I need prior PPP experience to join the CPPP? +
The CPPP is designed for senior professionals who work around PPPs rather than specialists who have built them from scratch. A background in project management, finance, public policy, legal, or commercial roles is sufficient. Prior direct PPP experience is helpful but not required.
Is the CPPP linked to the CP3P® certification? +
The CPPP is delivered by a Certified Public–Private Partnerships Professional (CP3P®) and covers material that overlaps with internationally recognised PPP competency standards. However, the program itself awards an iLead Certificate of Completion, not the CP3P® credential. Participants interested in pursuing CP3P® certification separately will find the CPPP a strong preparation.
Which roles benefit most from the Certificate in Public Private Partnerships? +
The program is most relevant to senior managers, project leads, and specialists in finance, risk, legal, or policy who are involved in structuring, overseeing, or advising on long-term delivery arrangements. It suits both public sector officials and private sector professionals who need to work effectively across the partnership boundary.
How is learning assessed and what do participants receive on completion? +
The CPPP uses applied exercises and group discussions throughout the four days rather than a formal written exam. Participants who complete the program receive an iLead Certificate of Completion. There is no external certification body examination attached to this course.
Is this program relevant outside of infrastructure or construction projects? +
Yes. While PPPs are often associated with infrastructure, the CPPP addresses the governance, risk, and accountability principles that apply across sectors including health, education, utilities, and public services. The focus on long-term performance and public value makes it broadly applicable beyond traditional capital projects.
Should I prepare anything before attending the CPPP? +
No prescribed pre-reading is required. Participants are encouraged to bring familiarity with at least one long-term project or service delivery arrangement from their own context, as the course makes direct use of real-world examples and participant experience in group discussions.
